This 10x number comes from the Mayo clinic; when I had my bilateral carpel tunnel surgery, I needed 5x the ‘normal’ intravenous pain-killer. Even then, I could still feel the surgeon cut my hand, wrist and fingers during the surgery. That is, I could have used MORE pain-killer to not feel the surgery at all (not feeling anything is “NORMAL”). During the surgery, I just stopped moving so the surgeon could finish; but I felt every one of his movements. Consequently, I needed more than the 5x amount of pain-killer, hence the 10x amount I believe to be correct. I feel pain, itches, emotions like hate, ecstasy, love; and worst of all, heartbreak TEN times more than the average person does. So when I want to commit unconditional love to someone, for me, it’s a big deal; far more than a normal person. By the way, going though 10x the heartbreak is like dying without the death. For example, I cried for every night for 6 MONTHS over my divorce. It still brings me to tears instantly when I think of what I missed out on raising my kids Intellectually, I am in the top 2% of the population at large; 10 to 15% above “Genius”; not an Einstein or a Galileo, but no “Pete Rose” either. Specifically, compared to my 10x “emotional skills”, I am intellectually one of 25 (2%) or above. This means that while I’m feeling 10x the love, I’m thinking about it “more”, deeper and further than “normal”. When I’m applying myself to find a “best” solution, I know my analytical skills are way above normal; and I know my “feel” for a problem or situation is way above normal; so when I seek a “best” solution, I expect to find a “best” solution; or at least a damn good one. |
